A Simple Way to Motivate Students During TCAP State Testing Week

It's almost testing week...and for some of us...weeks...plural!

You’ve got kids who are nervous, tired, over it… and honestly? You probably are too.

State testing season can feel like a LONG. But over the years, I’ve found one really simple thing that makes a big difference:  Little treats + encouraging notes. It’s nothing fancy, but it helps!  Grab your treat tags here!

Personalize these treat tags by adding your own name!  This is what kids remember.  Not the test. Not the questions.  They remember that you made a stressful week feel a little lighter.

During testing week, kids don’t need a huge production. They just need to feel like:

  • “I can do this.”
  • “My teacher believes in me.”
  • “This isn’t as scary as it feels.”

And somehow… a snack with a cute message can completely change the vibe.

No last-minute scrambling. No overthinking it. No spending your precious time searching for random tags.  There are six of them right here, ready to go for each day of testing.

Just:

✔ Print

✔ Cut

✔ Tape or staple to a snack (ask parents to send in the treats!)

✔ Done

You can even add your name and reuse them every year, which is a win during an already busy time.

Need some easy-going and motivational morning work for the first morning of testing?  I've got you covered there, as well!  Click here for a motivational crack the code morning work page.  The message reads:

"You have been working hard all year! Do your best to show how much you have learned. Stay confident and believe in yourself. I believe in you!"
